1. What this covers
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Websites can also save things in your browser in other ways, such as “local storage”. The law treats all of these the same. This policy covers them all.
2. We only use what the site needs
Pastors Network does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
The law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) lets a website use cookies without asking, where they are strictly necessary for something you have asked for, such as signing in. Everything below is in that group.

4. Other things saved in your browser
The Pastors Network app also uses your browser’s own storage. None of it is sent to anyone else.

5. Pages saved on your device
So that Pastors Network still works when the signal drops, the app keeps copies of some pages you open on your device. These include your Dashboard, Members, Pastoral Visits, Pulpit Cover, Notes and the Directory. They are cleared whenever you are signed out, and when a different person signs in on the same device. Use a device only you use, and lock it.
6. Things your browser fetches from other companies
Some pages ask your browser to fetch things from other companies. When that happens, your browser tells that company your internet address and which page asked for it. We send them nothing else.
- Vimeo: our videos. We use Vimeo’s “do not track” setting, so Vimeo does not set its tracking cookies. Its security service still sets one short-lived cookie (__cf_bm, 30 minutes) to block automated traffic.
- Open Library: book covers in the Library.
7. Changing your mind
You can delete cookies and stored data in your browser’s settings at any time. If you delete the sign-in cookies, you will need to sign in again.
